Tassellated Tassel Pendant

Leslie Venturoso

Sunday, October 20
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Level - Intermediate to Advanced

"This project combines two of my favorite bead weaving techniques – Geometric design and sculptural peyote. Tessellated Tassels are inspired by the amazing work of Kate McKinnon, Jean Power and Cynthia Rutledge.

Create a dramatic look with two three sided ‘horned’ shapes. Each shape features two geometric designs – Tumbling Blocks and Scattered Dot or Repeating Flowers and Scattered Dot. The shape is finished with Swarovski pearls. A pre-made tassel is secured inside and covered with a sparking apron of crystal cupchain."

Students will learn:
• How to stitch a geometric sculptural peyote shape with a geometric pattern
• How to build a second geometric shape connected to the first
• Embellishment techniques
• Attaching tassel
• Attaching cupchain
• RAW bail
